The Charlottesville Guide from an International Student Perspective
Attractions
It's easy to find all the attractions around here by following some of the links in this guide.
Here is UVA's very own all about UVA.
Yogaville
Located around 40 miles from Charlottesville, Yogaville is definitely
a place to visit and also a nice scenic drive. I won't describe it in detail here, but I would rate this beautiful
serene 'ashram' with a lotus temple a must see.
Luray Caverns
I've visited these spectacular caverns three or four times already
(the way CS jobs look now, being a tour guide might be a better career for me)
and I take everyone who visits me from abroad to see them. If you're a AAA member, don't forget the AAA
discount.
Other Things to See/Do
Kings Dominion is, I think, the closest amusent park - just a little north of Richmond. And if you are going all the way, may as well
pay a visit to the VA Bazaar Flea Market.
Monticello, Michie Tavern, Hot Air Ballooning, Apple Picking, Wine Tasting..
