Lee Child – Aug 06 Featured Author

Lee ChildVisit the Lee Child page at the Internet Book Database or his website at leechild.com for more information.

Lee Child is the author of the bestselling Jack Reacher series. The latest book in the series, The Hard Way, is now in stores. Lee Child also has a forum , where he posts often and sometimes you see posts from other authors too making for some interesting reading. One of my favorite threads is Barry Eisler and Lee Child discussing Reacher vs. Rain.

Introducing User Tags!

Now you can tag (like in del.icio.us) your books. You will notice a Tag Cloud in your Bookshelf like the one below, once you start tagging books. Basically Tags are just keywords you assign to books to help in organizing and classifying them. The more often you use a tag, the larger it appears.

Tag Cloud

Don’t have time to write reviews, just make simple tags like Loved it, Crappy, Fantabulous etc. instead.

New Bookshelf Interface

The Bookshelf has been redesigned making it less confusing. It is now easier to add books and easier to search your bookshelf. I am currently internally testing tags (like in del.icio.us) for both books and authors and finding people with the same favorite authors.

I am also testing out ISBN search and entering books using barcode readers.

Stats: 54181 Books, 9814 Authors, 151544 ISBNs, 13912 book descriptions, 178 Users, 6006 books on user lists
